It's great to be back home, but I've got to say that I had a BLAST at Scrapfest in Edmonton. We at Melissa Frances have taught at all kinds of US scrap events, but this was my first time teaching at a large scale Canadian event. It totally ROCKED. The students had such a warm, positive vibe about them and were excited to learn and have fun. A huge thank you goes out to each student who took the time to make myself and each of the other teachers feel welcomed and to Andrea for running such an organized event. For myself, one of the highlights of the show was being able to finally (after over three years of being online friends) meeting and visiting face-to-face with Melissa Chapman (one of the other teachers). That girl has mad talent and she was delightful to visit with.
Of course, you can't go to an event like this and not shop, so I brought home a few goodies that will be making there way into my layouts! My favs are the Scratchy Alpha, seeing stars, and right this way stamps by Fontwerks some cool acrylic paint Dabbers (which I continue to call Daubers, LOL!) by Ranger, a fun bottlecap tin by the fabulous Caroline of Maya Road, and some vintage goodness from Janice at Papier Valise.
Here are two photos from the weekend (and the debut of my much shorter and darker 'do!).
Have a nice day!
