so Santa decided to spoil me at Sally's trunk show. Rick knows how much I love Sally. Not only is she a fabulous artist with a wicked sense of humor, but she is also generous with her time and my favorite dinner partner when I go to Portland on business. After Christmas I'll post a photo of which treasure my baby bought me!!
In other news, I said that I would post some more photos from my antiquing trip in Omaha when I was in town for Silver Bella. These are the antique dolls that I bought. The one on the left is my favorite. She is realllly old and shows such character. I totally love her. I'm probably going to give her to my mom for Christmas as my mom is a doll collector.
We just had a dandy of a storm here in BC. On Wed. we had a terrible wind/rain storm. It was really bad. It knocked out power/cable etc...Approximately 500,000 homes were without power. Our power outage lasted about 21 hours, so we were luckier than many, but our cable (internet) was down for an additional 15 hours. Because of the wind, the reservoirs where we draw our water for the whole Vancouver area got polluted, and so we are under a boil water advisory, which they say could last for a few weeks. But all in all, everything's fine. Our house backs onto a ravine and we have a LOT of big trees, so it's always a bit nerve-wracking when the winds start. But all the trees survived (just minor breakage) and so our house is fine. Despite the storm, my local classes were a go and I had a wonderful time with the women who came out to create with me. Thank you to those who braved the elements to come to class.
