Last fall I was asked to make a collage for the Russian Scrapbooking magazine Scrap-Info based upon my Collage Workshop. I decided to make a collage with a special friend of mine in mind who has a great relationship with her Grandma. A few weeks ago, the published magazine arrived in my inbox, and I was thrilled to look through it. Those gals in Russia are a seriously creative bunch!

Today saw Rick and I spend the morning at Yad Vashem, a Holocaust memorial which was well worth the time and effort to visit. If you ever have the chance to come to Jerusalem, I highly recommend that it make your "must-do" list. While it was sobering and heart-breaking, I am thankful that we had the ability to visit it to honor those who were killed.
The afternoon saw us head back into the Old City where we once again visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, this time going inside of it. The organ was playing in the church as we entered and continued playing for the next 15 minutes or so....it was so beautiful. Later, we wandered the streets and lanes checking out the stalls and vendors.
Today we had a full day of walking and exploring the city of Jerusalem. We took a tour of the four sectors of the Old City in the morning and a tour of the Mount of Olives in the afternoon. We were hot, sweaty and tired by the end of the day, but those feelings were second to our appreciation and thankfulness to see such beauty and history.
Rick and I both safely arrived into the Tel Aviv airport yesterday. Today our plan was simple, begin to overcome the jet lag (it's a ten hour difference between here and our home) and take a walk to explore and get our first taste of the city. These pictures give you a little glimpse of what we saw. Such beauty and history! We're heading off to bed now, hope you enjoy your day.

Hi friends, it's been a while, hasn't it? Obviously my blogging has taken a back seat over the past few weeks. I do notice that I seem to do this each summer. As the weather gets nicer, I am tempted to spend less time tied to my computer and more time living life.
Over the past few weeks I've been immersed in the Vancouver Canucks run to the Stanley Cup (which we lost to a better team), work issues, teaching issues, and trying to enjoy my family. Crafting has also taken a bit of a back seat as I've been dealing with administrative things.
I will be heading out on Friday to Jerusalem to both do some tourism and teach at the sold-out Pink-Aqua event. I am beyond excited about spending time with my host and meeting the Israeli students. I still can't believe the crazy journey my life has taken -my job, and the teaching and travelling I am blessed to do, bring me a large amount of joy and I am so thankful for the opportunities that have come my way.
I don't know if I'll be doing a large amount of updating while I am away, but I will promise to try. OK?

Hi friends, I know it's been too long since I've last posted here when my mother, who very rarely comments to me about my blog, tells me that it's time to update, LOL!
Since we last spoke, I have gone and come home from my teaching trip to teach at Bikuben in Oslo, Norway. It was my fourth return to this store, and as usual, I had a wonderful time with the students and my kind and welcoming host Ellen. I also was treated to a fabulous lunch with the lovely Synnøves at her gorgeous house and met for the first time Anne Kristine, who is a brilliant paper crafter with an awesome vintage style. Thank you to each student who signed up for the workshops. It was my pleasure to be there. I hope to see you again ☺
