Pretty music for your weekend...

I am enjoying being home this week. At work we are designing like mad and I am pretty excited about what we have coming up.

Rick was called out of town on Sunday to investigate a police shooting in the North of our province. He came home on Wed. night, and I'm happy to have him back home as life is always more exciting when we are together.

As we head into the weekend, here is a music video for one of my favorite music groups, All Angels. I am a sucker for beautiful choral music, and this group is pure ear candy. (Although I will say, for the record, that my husband does not share my admiration for their version of this song - he says they ruined it.)

Panama Recap

I arrived home from teaching late Thursday evening, and finally have a few more photos for you!

I stayed with my host and her family at their apartment, which was right in the heart of Panama City, only 2 blocks from the waterfront. The view above was taken looking left from the balcony of the apartment. I was seriously not excepting the city to be as beautiful as it was, and I feel in love with the beauty of it.

I had the pleasure to teach four workshops, and unfortunately only took about 3 pictures (some scrapbooker I am, eh?). This one was from the Hodge-Podge Album workshop and unfortunately, some students had already left to go home.

 
A HUGE thank you to Telma (the gal on the far right of this photo) who was my translator for all four classes. And to each of the students, thank you for coming to spend some time with me, it was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to doing it again...soon!

Panama!

As I sit in the airport, waiting for my flight(s) which will take me home, I am so thankful for the short time I was able to spend in Panama. It was a wonderful experience and my students were SO nice!

After 3 flights, including the red-eye express, I arrived in Panama on Sunday, Sept. 18 for teaching at A Krear. Monday was a turn around day for me, and after a leisurely sleep in, followed by breakfast served to me in my room (what a luxury), my host took me to see the Panama Canal!

I will recap my workshops once I get home. For now, I must head out to catch my flight!

Hey Baby Doll!

Take a look at my newest baby doll. After not adding any new heads to my collection for a little over a year, I brought this one home last week. The photo doesn't really show her size. She is about 5.5" wide and 7" high - nice and big.

After a weekend of reflection for so many of us, another week dawns with a 'to-do' list a mile long ☺ I am finishing up work assignments and getting myself ready for a trip to Panama, which I leave for on Saturday. I am really looking forward to meeting new friends and getting to know my host better.

I'm also looking forward to a few of my favorite tv shows beginning this week. Survivor is always a favorite around here, so Rick and are happy that it is starting up again.

Mothers are...

I found this layout, which I made years ago for a Melissa Frances newsletter, on one of my memory sticks and don't think I ever shared it here on the blog. It features one of my all time favorite patterned paper collections "Vintage Shabby" which is, sadly, no longer in production. And, yep, that's me on my momma's lap as a wee babe :)

Life has been busy here at our house these past few weeks. With the wind down from summer into fall, I've been busy with work and family commitments. I feel like I haven't had enough time to be creative lately. Most of my time has been spent being creative digitally, and I miss cutting up and "playing" with paper. So I am hoping in the next few weeks to get a chance to sit at my desk and just create.
