I have discovered that I really like making jewelry. Like, I really like it. I have planned to set aside a bit of time during the holiday madness to experiment, play and learn more.
In the meantime, I thought I'd share this necklace that I made while I was at Terri Brush's Art Camp at the beginning of November. I had brought the pre-cut heart shaped glass with me from home and one of the evenings I decided to turn them into something pretty. I laid a string of rhinestones on top of a snippet of antique lace, then sandwiched them between the glass. When soldering around the heart, I chose to add some 'dots' as they forgive an imperfect solder job - wink! To finish it off I wire wrapped some beads, pearls, and sparkly bits to create a pretty chain.
Have you been making anything special lately?

It's soooo pretty :)
