I had the distinct honor of being featured in the most recent issue of Scrap-Info, a Russian scrapbooking magazine. Even though the issue is only the second one they have published, it is really strong. Lots of photos, great color, and tons of step-outs. It was a thrill to see my artwork presented to the Russian audience and I really enjoyed working with the author who was assigned my feature. It was a real trip to see my article written in Russian and not understand a single part of it :) A very special thank you to the gals who publish Scrap-Info, I am so appreciative!
Layout features me as a wee bebe. My dad is such a great photographer and I love the tenderness he captured in my mother's hands as she dressed me to leave the hospital.
I will draw the name for the winner of the prize pack giveaway later in the day today (Wed.) as I will be out for a bit. Check in later to see if you're the lucky duck!
ETA: I'm back and happy to announce the winner of my giveaway. Thanks to the random number generator, poster #66 is the lucky lady.
So Carol (great name by the way!), please check your inbox for an email from me!
Once again, you've outdone yourself on this adorable baby card. Uh...such talent!!
Waiting for me this week when I went to check my US post office box was the AUG-OCT issue of Artful Blogging. It was many months ago when I first received an email from the editor asking to share my blogging story in the magazine. As an avid reader of Stampington publications I was bursting my buttons that they thought my blog was publication worthy and would be of interest to their readers. I was even more thrilled upon receiving my copy of the issue to discover that one of my photos graces the cover! Can you guess which one is mine?
A big hello to those of you who have discovered my blog through this issue. Please take a moment to say hi, introduce yourself and share your blogs with me, so that I, in turn, can visit your little corner of the internet.
in the office today. Thanks for the kind words about my Silver Bella projects. For those who asked, yes,I will post pictures of the entire projects once I'm home from Silver Bella.
In the meantime, here is a Melissa Frances project that was recently published in Holiday Cards & More Vol. 2 published by Paper Crafts magazine. This project features one of the adorable Melissa Frances Sentiment boxes. A Sentiment box is a tiny little crayon-sized box (with artwork on the cover) and a fold out cardstock weight accordion insert stored inside it. The box also comes with a die-cut sticker sheet and three buttons. At $2 MSRP, it's a great little bargain and an adorable project, especially for Christmas. Let me know if you have any questions!
I have a favor to ask from one of you oh-so-fabulous readers. I had the Sept 07 issue of Better Homes and Gardens as there was a home in it which I loved and I was going to try some of the paint colors featured in the article in my home. However, I have lost the issue and I think it may have been recycled. Unfortunately after going to my local magazine sellers and contacting the magazine to purchase a back issue (they didn't have any available) I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to be able to get/find the issue without some help. So,I was wondering if anyone has a September 2007 Better Homes and Gardens magazine (see cover at right) and they would consider either:
A) Color Photocopying an article and mailing it to me. OR B) mailing me the issue..
I would be happy to either pay for the issue/mailing or send scrapbooking goodies in exchange.
You can let me know in the comments field and I'll follow up with an email.
I posted about my favorite magazine buying site probably over a year ago, so I know that many of you may have missed it. That's why when I saw that they are promoting Country Home magazine again, I wanted to post for those of you who love the magazine as much as I do. I have been lucky enough to get several great sales like the one I will link to today, and consequentially, my subscription is good through 2013...I know, it's a little much, but I like that I don't have to remember to renew each year! Anyways, what this site will do is search the major online magazine sales sites and find you the best deals. They then show you a chart with all the prices and you can connect you to the site you choose so that you can purchase the magazine. I've bought many subscriptions through the sites they link to. Anyways, back to the subject on hand. Right now, Country Home has 20 issues for under $4....heck yeah, cheaper than buying one issue on the newsstand! Gotta love that! Here's the link to the Country Home prices. Let me know if you sign up or find any other great deals!
