Over the past few years it has been my pleasure to be a part of the Ellen Hutson Creative Team and as she celebrates her 11th Anniversary the team, and several of her friends, were challenged to make a card featuring our most used Essentials by Ellen stamp set in a celebratory blog hop. As I'm the first person on the blog hop roster today, you should have come here from the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom.
Getting started with today's project, my most used Essentials by Ellen stamp set by far is the Mondo Peony. It's so classically beautiful and for someone who is drawn to feminine design, it is pure perfection and I've used it many times and in many different color schemes.
I used the following supplies for making the card:
White Cardstock: Neenah Clasic Crest Solar White
Stamp and Die Sets: Mondo Peony Stamp Set, Mondo Peony Die Set, Mondo Hydrangea Stamp set, Mondo Hydrangea Die Set, Totally Random Sayings
Ink/Embossing supplies: Ranger White Embossing powder, Ranger clear embossing ink, Altenew Jet Black ink
Vellum: Ellen Hutson 43 Lb, 25 pack
Patterned Paper: Crate Paper Cute Girl 6x6 pad
Copic Markers: RV17, RV19, RV63, G82, YG91
Here is a you tube video from Ellen Hutson's You Tube channel with instructions for how to create this fun "faux-watercolor" technique. While I've used the Mondo Hydrangea stamp set instead of the Mondo Peony in this video, the technique itself is identical.
Your next stop on the blog hop is Kelly Griglione. I can't wait to see what she has worked up for us!
As I sign off, here are the same two stamp sets (the Mondo Hydrangea from the video and the Mondo Peony) in two additional colors - SO pretty, right?!
