Happy New Year! Wishing you a 2018 that's full of good things. I'm looking forward to another year of sharing my creativity with you here through my blog, and instagram accounts (@ladolcevitaretreat and @carolynpeeler).
For my first creative challenge in 2018, my friends at Ellen Hutson asked me to participate in their 2 takes on a Trend feature. We were given this photo, along with a supply list of inks and papers that were color matched to the swatches. From there, we were free to let our creativity take us wherever it led. The inspiration photo was this:
I decided to use the following supplies to make my card project:
Cardstock: Neenah Clasic Crest Solar White, Bazzill Licorice (black) cardstock
Stamp and Die Sets: Abstract Brushstrokes, Totally Random Sayings
Ink/Embossing supplies: Ranger White Embossing powder, Ranger clear embossing ink, Altenew Jet Black ink,Distress Inks: Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters, Shaded Lilac, Victorian Velvet
Vellum: Ellen Hutson 43 Lb, 25 pack
Specialty Paper: Bazzill Gold Foil paper
Normally I'm a very soft, pretty and feminine cardmaker, but for this project I felt inspired to make something more modern, and I really like how it turned out!
Thanks for your visit today. I hope you have a great week ahead!
