Happy Monday Friends! I am looking forward to the beginning of another week. I continue to be on the mend, and am getting more and more mobile. I am beginning to be frustrated with my lack of mobility. But am trying to be patient and not push too fast.

One of my dogs injured one of her front legs on Friday night and after a visit to the vet on Sat., she is not supposed to be jumping up and down on furniture, etc. However, I am not allowed to pick her up right now, so I'm hoping that I will be OK watching her while Rick is at work. We are not 100% sure what is wrong right now. We will be taking her back to the vet probably for some x-rays as she was given some injections, but they don't seem to have helped. She is still limping and yelping with pain at times :(

In the meantime, I am starting to feel the urge to be creative again. I spent a bit of time on Sunday making a project for an assignment, and will be doing more of the same this week.

I am so happy to finally have an art project to share with you!!! This tag is one I made for an article in the Canadian Scrapbooker Spring 2011 issue. I love the colors on it, and given how much support I have received from blog readers over the past few weeks, it seemed an appropriate sentiment to share here!

Hi Friends! Wow, what a difference a week makes! As I write this on Sunday night, I am coming off a good week. Thank you SO much for the prayers and encouragement so many of you have sent my way! It looks like my incision has finally healed over, which is a relief. And I continue to become more and more mobile. My biggest complaint is that my abdomen area and right shoulder and elbow continue to be very irritated. I am really not sure how long that will last. I have been told that it is because of the amount of blood that pooled in my abdomen before the surgery that I continue to have these issues. But honestly, in the face of what is happening in so many countries around the world right now, I am indeed blessed.

I can hardly believe that it is already October. It seems to me like this year has flown by. As a child I remember my parents saying that time flies the older you get, and how true that is!!

So, what kind of fall activities are you and your family looking forward to? I am not really sure what we will be up to this month...but I am hoping to spend some time outside enjoying the changing of the seasons.

Welcome to the new-for-fall Cut 'n Paste. Although (with my limited photoshop skills) it takes me WAY too long, I always love making new banners and changing things up around here. I found the perfect collage border from Norma Frances here on flickr and used it as the jumping off point for the rest of the design. I also found a new "love-it" font called Steelplate Gothic, which is the font I used for the title. (If you have any other questions, just let me know)

I shared here some months ago about our family trip to Pont du Gard in France and since then I completed a layout about our day for an article in the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. This layout features my two favorite photos from the hundreds that were taken. (Remember between my parents, Rick and I, we had 4 cameras all clickin' away). I decided that in my personal scrapbook I will have this layout, then display a few of the other photos on 6-up plastic photo sleeves instead of making more layouts about it....or at least that's the plan I have for now ☺

I also wanted to take a moment to thank each of you who visit and take the time to comment and/or send me emails. I truly appreciate it more than you can know. I feel really guilty that I do not respond to comments like I used to. Hopefully you do not think any worse of me and understand that, at times, my email is just too out-of-control and I can't keep up. Hopefully we're still friends...

Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians, and to my Southern friends, Happy July 4th in a few days. We have been busy around here getting ready for a visit from my sister-in-law and her kiddos. They moved about 8 hours away from us in January and this will be our first visit with them since then. Her poor hubby had to stay home and hold down the fort. Why is it that we often only seem to get into gear to do stuff around the home when we have company over? There have been so many things which we have just put off doing. So glad that we're being given the push to get them done.

I was lucky enough to have this card published in the most recent issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine in the column I write. I absolutely LOVE this stamp line and love the combination of the patterned paper with it.

This layout is one I enjoyed putting together a few months ago after finding the photos at my parent's house. I scrapbooked many of our dating memories back when I first started the hobby, so it was a pleasure to find these pics and to scrapbook them in the style I scrapbook today.  Layout is published in the Canadian Scrapbooker Basics Special Issue Vol. 4, which has just been released.
